Nice Things Patients Have Said This Week, 3

At the private practice, from a client who runs a multi-million dollar enterprise:

"You know, 'psychiatrist' has such a stigma attached to it. I don't think of you as just a psychiatrist. I think of you as my life-coach."

We want to hear more about private practice? More or less rewarding? What's hard or easy or fun?

And you thought life-coach was a compliment?

"It's much less stigmatizing to think of myself as seeing a "life coach" as opposed to seeing a "psychiatrist," which might make people think there's something wrong with me."

ITA with ~S - I'd love to hear more about what you find rewarding and enjoyable about your work in private practise - there aren't that many blogs that discuss that aspect of the profession...

And of course, with your spin on things, it's bound to be awesome.
