Stuff

I've been writing a lot of rants, lately. Rants about credit card legislation. Rants about the so-called "First-Time Homebuyer Tax Credit". Rants about health insurance companies, and drug companies. And so forth. But I don't publish them, because I realize how incredibly cantankerous and pissed off I am about things, and I don't want to be that. But I am. But I'm trying not to be. Any suggestions?

I prescribe one rave per rant posted on this blog up until such time as its author can achieve the elusive "balanced view of life."

That, or kitty pictures. Your choice.

Physician, heal thyself? Or, rant. I'll read either one.

Blog hiatus. For each rant, instead prescribe one week's sailing.

Have been doing all of these except rock climbing and target practice. I've been thinking for quite a while that I'd like to take up archery, though. Unfortunately, the Turbopalace backyard does not provide enough space for that.

Head for open water.

If that isn't practical, re-read Top 10 Reasons to Buy a Sailboat which after all this time, is still my favorite post of yours. Particularly #4 "There is nothing better than leaning out the companionway, holding a big mug of hot coffee, on a cool Maine morning, with a little drifting fog. There really isn’t."

Maybe you need to find a cool Maine morning?
